I am an artist, however you want to define that. I believe that life is about creating something beautiful, and I embrace that philosophy every day. I just finished my second year in Fashion Design at the college of Design, Art, Architecture, and Planning. I couldn't imagine myself having a career in which I am not able to fully express myself. 
Growing up in the suburbs outside Cincinnati, I do not believe I have experienced life to the fullest. I have not seen true poverty or pure culture. I hope to use my experiences in the Honors Programs to help myself grow more holistic in my views of the world and all that it encompasses. 
Many people view fashion as a very materialistic culture, which is true to some extent. But fashion is more than just consumerism. My greatest belief is that our perceptions of others is partially based on their appearance, and that a person's individual style is a gateway into who they truly are.
